Privacy Policy – MidiTX Editor

1. Introduction

Midi TX Editor (“the App”) is an application that lets you control the TONEX Pedal (and compatible devices) via MIDI commands, using a Bluetooth (BLE MIDI) or USB connection on Android. This privacy policy describes how the App handles data when you use it.

2. Data controller

The App is developed and published by the party that releases the application on the stores. For questions about this privacy policy, you can use the contact channels shown on the App’s store listing (developer email or website, if available).

3. Data the App does not collect

No account: The App does not require registration or sign-in.
No personal data sent to our servers: The App does not send your personal data (name, email, etc.) to the developer’s servers.
No first‑party analytics or tracking: We do not use our own analytics to profile how the App is used.

4. Advertising

The App may show advertisements (e.g. via Google AdMob). Ad providers may collect data (such as device identifiers or usage data) for ad delivery and measurement, according to their own privacy policies. 5. Use of device permissions

The App requests the following permissions only for the purposes described:

Permission	Purpose
Bluetooth	To search for and connect to your BLE MIDI adapter (e.g. midiA m-vave) and send MIDI commands to the TONEX Pedal. MIDI data stays between your device and the pedal.
Bluetooth Scan / Connect	Required to discover and connect to the MIDI device over Bluetooth. On Android 12+, scanning is not used for location.
USB (Android only, optional)	To connect to TONEX Pedal via USB (e.g. for preset name sync).

No data obtained through these permissions is sent to third parties or used for purposes other than local MIDI connectivity.

6. Data that stays on your device

Any App settings or preferences are stored only on your device (local storage).
MIDI commands and communication with the pedal take place locally (Bluetooth or USB); they do not pass through our or any third party’s servers for processing or storage.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a child uses the App on your device, processing is limited to what is described above (no collection to servers).

8. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy in the future (e.g. for new features or legal requirements). The updated version will be marked with a new date at the top of the page. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
